The last time I went to Bangkok I stayed at a hotel in Sukhumvit. It is one of the most populated areas within the city of Thailand, which is famous for catering to a large number of international tourists and creates a source of employment for the locals. The Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel is located at the heart of the city. Its location in Bangkok’s red light district gave me an easy access to the sky-train. I was awed when I saw the sky-train running across the Sukhumvit road, below are residential building, malls and numerous hotels to choose from. On seeing this I realized that Bangkok is no longer suffering and has moved on from its poverty stricken past. Stories of people living in grass huts and with stone wall fireplaces have given way to urban dwellings and marbled shopping malls.

The one thing that I can say that till today Bangkok has, is and always will be a life changing experience for a person to undergo at least once in their lifetime. It is next to impossible for me to explain why, so you will have to experience Bangkok for yourself. Its cultural heritage and its diverse lifestyle will bombard you and give you a lasting impression to take home.
